The reason we chose Mount. Vesuvius is because it destroyed pompeii and Herculaneum. Vesuvius is in the inside of another volcano called soma. I thought this would be interesting to you the reader. Vesuvius is in the soma rim. The soma rim is a collapsed stratovolcano. Stratovolcano means a volcano that reach’s into the stratosphere. Soma collapsed about 17000 years ago.

The questions we asked are selves to get farther are: when was it discoverd? First recorded eruption? how long did the last eruption last? how many people live near there? whats the geological location? when was the most vicious eruption? can you climb it?. while your read ing thruogh this site try to find these questions.

All the info we had before we started is: most dangerous volcano, last erupted in 1944, killed a minnimum of three thousand people, mummiefied 3000 people, located in italy, temporally in active, only has vicious eruptions, building up pressure till the next eruption.
